Wheel Alignment at We Care Auto

What is a wheel alignment

Proper tire alignment, also referred to as wheel alignment, is crucial for optimal tire performance and longevity. Not only does it enhance handling, but it also prevents your vehicle from pulling in one direction or experiencing unusual vibrations while driving. By ensuring your tires are aligned correctly, you can avoid unnecessary wear and tear, ultimately saving you money in the long run.

Do I need a Tire Alignment?

If you've noticed one or more of these indicators:

  • Uneven tread wear
  • Vehicle pulling to the left or right
  • Your steering wheel is off center when driving straight
  • Steering wheel vibration

You should have your alignment checked by a technician immediately.

Learn More About wheel Alignment

Camber

The camber angle refers to the inward or outward tilt of the tire when viewed from the front of the vehicle. Negative camber is when the tire tilts inward, while positive camber is when it tilts outward. If the camber angle is too extreme in either direction, it indicates improper alignment and will require adjustment. It's important to note that worn bearings, ball joints, and other wheel-suspension parts can contribute to camber misalignment.

Toe

Toe alignment is a crucial aspect of vehicle maintenance that is often overlooked. Unlike camber alignment, which refers to the angle of the wheels in relation to the ground, toe alignment is the degree to which your tires turn inward or outward when viewed from above.

Taking the necessary steps to maintain it, you can ensure that your vehicle performs at its best and remains safe on the road.

Caster

The caster angle of your vehicle plays a crucial role in maintaining optimal steering, stability, and cornering. Essentially, it refers to the angle of your steering axis as viewed from the side of your vehicle. A positive caster angle results in the steering axis tilting towards the driver, while a negative caster angle causes it to tilt towards the front of your vehicle. By understanding and adjusting your caster angle, you can ensure a smoother and more controlled driving experience.
